Wow! It’s been quite the week! I’ve added a pattern page to my blog. While it doesn’t have all that many yet, I am hoping to add several this fall. Stay tuned!
In my crafting time, I’ve been working on two designs. I am happy enough with my boot cuffs that I have opened a test for them. If you are interested in testing this pattern, fill out the form at the bottom of this page, and I’ll send you the information. I have sizes ranging from toddler to adult, so watch for updates!
I’ve also been working on my tree shawl-ruana pattern. The back of the pattern will follow the shape of a triangle shawl, but the front will have two long panels like a ruana. The back features an abstract tree design, and the front panels will use an abstract leaf design.
I was so excited to start on it that I just dug some yarn out of my stash. If I were to do it again, I would have used different yarn. While this one is soooo soft, and the colors are fun together, the yarn is so loosely spun that it is very difficult to rip things I decide I don’t like. The colors are also making the pattern somewhat difficult to see. I don’t think that would be a problem if I weren’t trying to design the pattern as I go!
I’m working both panels at the same time. I find that helps me to keep them perfectly symmetrical (except for the stripes, of course), and it makes the overall pattern feel faster. This also allows me to try it on as I go.
What are you working on now? And don’t forget to fill out this form if you are interested in testing the 3-Way Boot Cuffs!
